Privacy Notice

CutType is operated by CutType.com ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal data processed through cuttype.com and decide how and why it is used.

What we collect and why

• Design content you enter (text, font choices, artboard settings) — processed in your browser to render and export your cut files. Legal basis: performance of our agreement with you.
• Contact details you send us (name, email, message content) — used only to answer support requests. Legal basis: legitimate interest in supporting users.
• Technical and usage data (IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, error reports) — used for security, abuse prevention, and improving the tool. Legal basis: legitimate interests in a secure, working service.
• Advertising data — Google AdSense may set cookies and identifiers to serve and measure ads. Legal basis: your consent where required.

Donations and any paid orders are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects the payment and billing data it needs to process the transaction; we never see or store your full card details.

Who we share data with

• Hosting and infrastructure providers that run the site.
• Stripe, Inc., for order processing, payments, tax and invoicing.
• Google, for advertising and (where enabled) search and analytics measurement.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Some providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

Design content is not stored on our servers — it lives in your browser session. Support correspondence is kept for up to 24 months. Technical logs are kept for up to 12 months. Order records held by Stripe are retained as required by tax law. We delete or anonymise data once it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We respond within one month.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS and strict security headers. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls and encryption in transit, to protect personal data.

Cookies

We use essential cookies needed to run the site, and advertising cookies set by Google AdSense. You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings, and control ad personalisation via Google My Ad Center.
